The Shift suits Ashtanga, Hatha, Iyengar and Vinyasa. For yoga, the wave-embossed top is the natural choice; if you practise more dynamically, for example fitness or HIIT, flip the mat over and use the hexagon side.
Closed-cell PVC foam which, according to the manufacturer, is free of phthalates and BPA and made from 40% recycled material. It carries the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 label, Class 1.
Before first use, wipe it with a damp cloth and a few drops of mild washing-up liquid, rinse with clear water and let it dry flat. Day to day, a damp cloth is enough. Roll it up with your favourite side facing outwards to prevent curling corners. Machine washing can leave permanent creases.
